Jacob Grimm's Last Fairytale

Jacob Grimm works on his famous dictionary of the German language, but finds himself plunged into the fairy tales he collected with his late brother Wilhelm when a mysterious young woman becomes his maid in 1863 Berlin. The young woman has a child with her, and Jacob and the child begin a friendship that is shaped by the adventures of Snow White and Cinderella and the Evil Queen who rules the land behind the mirror. But the woman brings danger and disruption to Jacob's house as the King of Prussia and his ruthless minister of Defense Otto von Bismarck become entranced with the woman and the murderous secrets she brings from Transylvania.
